Method — Screening-level estimate

Element geometry with declared section sizes and a wastage margin. NOT a structural design: no reinforcement design, no code verification, no member sizing check.

Every result below is produced by the same engineering engine that feeds the High-Rise reference project, so a quantity taken from this page and a quantity taken from the workflow cannot disagree.

Governing Formula

Governing Formula
V_beams = n_lines x L x levels x b x d

Where:

  • n = Beam lines per floor
  • L = Beam length per line [m]
  • b x d = Beam cross-section [m2]

Derived Equations:

Core / shear wall volume: V_core = A_core x t x levels
Stair volume: V_stair = risers x going x width x flights
Formwork area: A_form = vertical faces + (A_plate x levels x multiplier)

Assumptions & Limitations

  • No reinforcement is produced here; add it from a bar schedule or a dedicated rebar calculator.
  • No structural capacity, deflection, crack-width or code-compliance check is performed.
  • Assumes a regular frame; transfer structures, openings and irregular cores are out of scope.
Engineering Disclaimer & Verification Notice

This calculator provides preliminary engineering estimates for informational and planning purposes. Actual reverse osmosis / engineering system performance depends on site conditions, feed-water chemistry, membrane characteristics, operating pressure, temperature, recovery limits, fouling/scaling potential, and system design. Verify results using project-specific data, manufacturer projections, and applicable engineering standards before final design or operation.
