// RO Engineering Workbench — connected workflow UI. // All calculations run in the authoritative engines via src/lib/workbench; // this component only collects inputs, runs the workflow, and presents results.
Connected engineering workflow. Every result is computed by the authoritative RO engines. Blank inputs stay blank — nothing is assumed or defaulted, except where an engine applies fixed constants (osmotic factors, preliminary configuration); those are disclosed on the affected node.

Step 01

Design basis

Contextual inputs shared by the chain. Leave unknown values blank — required gaps are reported, never filled.

Step 02

Calculation chain

Nodes run in order. Linked inputs arrive from upstream automatically; typing a value overrides the link, clearing it restores basis/linked resolution.

Step 03
Step 04

Quality assurance

Deterministic rule checks over the current workflow state — no AI judgment.

    Step 05

    Revisions

      Step 06

      Report

      Assembled only from engine-produced contexts.

      Engineering Basis

The workbench adds no formulas. Recovery, mass balance, permeate TDS, osmotic pressure, scaling risk, and the RO projection each execute in their authoritative engines; the workbench only routes inputs, propagates linked values between compatible units, and presents engine outputs with warnings verbatim.

Use the right tool for the job: free RO calculators answer single questions; the Workbench connects those answers into a checked, traceable design; the RO Design Studio performs preliminary system projection with staging and membrane configuration.

Connected Workbench results are preliminary engineering estimates. Final RO system design must be verified using validated feed-water analysis, membrane manufacturer performance data, applicable design guidelines, and qualified engineering review. The Workbench is not a replacement for WAVE, ROSA, or manufacturer projection software.
