Cartridge Filter Sizing Calculator
Size the elements and housings of a cartridge or bag filter from the design flow, the feed solids from the analysis, and the manufacturer's element flow rating. The element count follows from that stated rating alone. Leave the rating out and you get the hourly solids load and nothing invented, because a cartridge count built on an assumed element size would misstate the order.
Design parameters
Design flow and feed solids give the solids load the filter must capture. The element flow rating and the elements per housing come from the element data sheet; both are optional here so the result can show what is known without them.
Basis and limits
- The element count is derived only from the element flow rating you state. No typical element size is assumed.
- Feed solids set the capture basis for your change interval. They do not change the element count.
- Differential pressure is not computed: clean and spent element ΔP come from the manufacturer.
- Element life is not predicted. A service interval you enter is echoed, not calculated.
